We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at American Family Care Santa Clarita. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases.

You will work closely with our medical team to provide exceptional patient care, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatments. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
  • Process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician or radiologist overreads
  • Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and policies
  • Aid providers with prescribed patient treatments in accordance with approved standards, policies, and protocols
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment as needed
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
  • Serve as Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant when needed within guidelines
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Related experience and/or training (six months to one year)
  • ARRT registration or board eligibility
  • Licensure per state regulation
  • Medical Assistant Certification
