About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte. In this role, you will assist and support the Nurse Manager in developing, implementing, and evaluating delivery of nursing care services within the Emergency unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership for patient care activities; prepare and facilitate staff schedule; direct professional and non-professional nursing personnel.
  • Participate in team member development and evaluation; implement and lead process improvement activities with the unit.
  • Represent Nurse Manager as appropriate; provide direct patient care and attend meetings as required.
Daily Operations and Management

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned unit or clinic section within the hospital. This includes scheduling employee shifts and ensuring admitting and discharge functions are providing for optimal patient flow.

Efficient Resource Utilization

You will ensure that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. You will assign patients to appropriate health practitioners and perform other administrative functions as necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • FL RN (Registered Nurse) license
  • Previous clinical experience preferred, of at least three years in acute care setting
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Able to work under stressful conditions
  • Good oral and written skills
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
Competencies and Skills

You must demonstrate excellent clinical, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. You should be able to set priorities, adjust and implement change, work independently, perform effectively in crisis situations, and serve as a resource.

This position requires at least 2-4 years of experience in the field or related area. A Bachelors Degree of Nursing is required. You should be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
