Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and maintaining a well-organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive service to customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Recovery: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including merchandise recovery and maintenance, to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Merchandise Duties: Assist with truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Checkout Experience: Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling to standards and ensuring accurate transactions.
  • Omni Channel Processes: Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) processes to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals, maintain store standards, and support shrink and safety programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail Experience: Previous retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role, is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a positive attitude in a team-oriented setting.
Work Environment

Our store environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a well-organized store environment. As a Customer Service Team Member, you will be required to:

  • Stand for long periods: Ability to remain standing for extended periods, with regular breaks as needed.
  • Move throughout the store: Ability to move freely throughout the store, including climbing ladders and accessing high shelves.
  • Lift and carry: Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and merchandise, with assistance as needed.
