A fulfilling career awaits an experienced veterinarian as an In-Home Euthanasia Specialist with Heartstrings Pet Hospice in Fort Worth, TX.

We provide a unique opportunity to reconnect with pet families and deliver compassionate care with generous appointment times and minimal administrative duties. Our mission is to support pets and their families during life's most challenging moments, helping them pass peacefully in the comfort of their own home.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per yearAbout This Role

As an In-Home Veterinarian with our team, you will have the freedom to practice without being tied to a clinic. Enjoy an average of 3-4 appointments per day, receive gratitude and appreciation from pet families, and benefit from comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship.

You will participate in Team Building and Retreat Activities, enjoy schedule flexibility with 2-5 day-per-week work options, and have most appointments occurring between 9 am and 5 pm. Our veterinarians are passionate about providing high-quality care and making a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets.
  • Guide families in making end-of-life decisions for their pets.
  • Build relationships with local veterinary clinics, serving as an extension of their excellent care.
Qualifications & Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree.
  • At least one year of experience as a practicing veterinarian.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted.
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle medical tools effectively.
