About This Opportunity

Tidewater Orthopaedic Hampton, VA office is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a member of our healthcare practice, you will have the opportunity to work with patients and contribute to their recovery process.

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable LPN to perform various office and clinical duties. The qualified candidate must have 2+ years of experience working in a healthcare practice or hospital, preferably in Orthopaedics. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional patient care, including explaining procedures and recording patient information
  • Cleaning and preparing examination rooms prior to appointments
  • Applying and instructing patients on splints and dressings
  • Ordering testing, writing notes, and prescribing medication as directed by physicians
  • Autoclaving and cleaning instruments and other clinic equipment

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to multitask, and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Hold an active LPN license
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Be certified in BLS
Benefits

Tidewater Orthopaedic offers a competitive salary of $18.00 - $23.00 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, flexible schedule, and tuition reimbursement.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional requirements to commute to Suffolk and/or Williamsburg, Virginia offices. The physical demands of this role include frequent standing, walking, and sitting, as well as lifting and pushing objects weighing less than 130lbs.
