Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at the University of Florida Health. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong foundation in nursing care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
About the RoleAs a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, working closely with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless coordination of care.
You will possess a strong understanding of critical care principles and practices, including knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, and anatomy. Your expertise in airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and pain management will be essential in ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements
- Implement evidence-based practices to promote optimal patient outcomes, adhering to established standards of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge of critical care principles and best practices
To be successful in this role, you must have a Graduate degree in Nursing from an accredited program and a valid Florida Registered Nurse License. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required, while NIH certification may be necessary based on departmental requirements. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an RN in the Emergency Department is preferred.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills will enable you to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
What We OfferThe University of Florida Health offers a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $123,000 per annum, depending on experience.
