Medical Rehabilitation Specialist

At Mass General Brigham, we are seeking a Medical Rehabilitation Specialist to provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
The successful candidate will practice in collaboration with other members of an interdisciplinary team, educating patients, families, and others. Directing and supervising support personnel, managing technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively and efficiently is also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities- Assess and Evaluate Physical Therapy Needs: The selected candidate will be responsible for assessing and evaluating physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Treatment Planning: Developing treatment plans that reflect understanding of patients' age and situation, including discharge plans, is crucial for this role.
- Documentation and Communication: Complete, timely, and accurate documentation is essential, as well as effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Skill Development and Performance Improvement: Identifying performance improvement opportunities and implementing best practices is vital for continuous quality improvement.
To be considered for this Medical Rehabilitation Specialist position, applicants must have a strong educational background in physical therapy, with a minimum of 2 years of experience for Advanced Clinician roles. Additionally, a license to practice as a physical therapist in Massachusetts is required, along with effective verbal and written communication skills in English, basic math skills, computer proficiency, and BLS certification.
