About the Role

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist PRN to join our Home Health team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in their homes.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement occupational therapy programs tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
  • Administer occupational therapy care programs, providing instructions to patients and their families on continued therapeutic procedures.
  • Evaluate and record patient progress, reporting to the care team for review and discussion.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and charts, ensuring a comprehensive record of treatment.
  • Identify patient occupational therapy needs, setting long-term and short-term goals to meet those needs.
  • Participate in our Continuous Quality Improvement Program, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • 1-2 years of experience in occupational therapy, with a focus on home health care.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) certification.
  • Preferred: Experience in occupational therapy services to homebound patients.
