We are seeking a skilled Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our team at Abilities, LLC.

About Us

Abilities, LLC is a residential provider with 8 homes supporting over 25 individuals in the Johnson County, Missouri area. We pride ourselves on providing quality of life supports, reducing levels of aggression, property damage, and other behaviors through empathy, kindness, and patience.

Responsibilities

The Behavior Intervention Specialist will work collaboratively with our Clinical Director, other Behavior Analysts, and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) to provide behavior services under a contracted provider. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify behavioral challenges, skill deficits, and environmental factors impacting behavior.
  • Developing individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment findings and best practices in behavior analysis.
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure consistent implementation of behavior intervention plans across settings.
  • Providing training to Direct Support Professionals (caregivers) regularly using non-clinical language.
  • Supervising and mentoring RBTs and other members of the team in the implementation of behavior intervention plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Missouri.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, ability to multi-task.
  • Prefer experience with staff training.
  • Prefer experience MO Department of Mental Health policies and procedures.
  • A valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Compensation and Benefits

This salaried position offers an estimated annual salary range of $65,000-$75,000, dependent upon education, experience, and credentials. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision benefits, retirement plan, 160 paid-time-off hours per year, paid holidays, and mileage reimbursement ($0.56/mile).
