About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant to join our team at Medical City Children's Congenital Heart Surgery Center.

Job Summary:

This part-time position involves working with a dedicated team of pediatric congenital heart disease specialists and surgeons, providing meticulous and compassionate care for patients with complex cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric cardiology and experience working in a high-volume cardiovascular ICU setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform age-appropriate history and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as needed
  • Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers related to patient's condition and current care
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities, demonstrating proficiency in technical/procedural skills
  • Facilitate patient transition within and between healthcare settings, including admitting, transferring, and discharging patients
  • Organize and participate in weekly multidisciplinary case conferences
  • Shared call responsibilities and Monday-Friday day position

Incentive/Benefits Package:

  • Competitive salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience
