Gas Industry Educator Position

We are seeking an experienced Gas Industry Educator to join our team at GeorgiaGov. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of professionals in the gas industry.
Job SummaryThis is a part-time, non-benefited position in the Engineering Construction Manufacturing and Design Division. The Gas Industry Educator will report directly to the Program Director – Air Conditioning Technology and will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students enrolled in our gas-related programs.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans for classroom instruction, focusing on the principles and practices of the gas industry.
- Organize and conduct classes using a variety of learning experiences and activities that cater to different learning styles.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure students meet course objectives.
- Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports as required by the program.
- A degree in a related field, such as air conditioning technology or a related field, with two years of work experience beyond education in the gas industry.
- Refrigerant Recovery Certification and Class I restricted State of Georgia License.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- K-12 or post-secondary teaching experience.
- Two years of work experience beyond plumbing education in the gas industry.
This position involves working in a fast-paced academic environment, with frequent interaction with students, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Physical Demands:The Gas Industry Educator will require occasional standing, sitting, and moving about campus to accomplish tasks. They must also be able to adjust or move objects up to 15 pounds and operate machinery and/or power tools as needed.
Salary:The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
