Job Description

Bristol Infrastructure Designs Services is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at Marine Corps Air Station in South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with NAVFAC requirements and positions, engaging with multiple levels of authority to obtain decisive action.
  • Review pre-final contract drawings and specifications for constructability and compatibility with field conditions.
  • Participate in pre-award contract meetings, including FACDs and constructability reviews.
  • Coordinate post-award contract meetings, such as kickoff meetings, preconstruction conferences, and design review meetings.
  • Review contractor administrative submittals, including schedules, environmental protection plans, and quality control plans.
  • Visit construction sites to monitor progress and solicit input from ET/QA representatives.
  • Provide technical solutions to unforeseen problems during construction.
  • Prepare project status updates for senior Government personnel.
  • Complete required items to close out contracts, including tracking receipt and delivery of as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
Requirements
  • Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, Field Engineer, or Quality Control Manager on commercial/industrial type facilities.
  • Sound understanding of construction operations and engineering concepts.
