Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Environmental Services Specialist to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our custodial and food service team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas.
  • Create an aesthetically pleasing environment for our customers.
  • Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with Infection Control and Hospital policies.
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
  • Prepare and serve food in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
  • Assemble food, patient trays, individual portions, and food displays.
  • Stock food and supplies.
  • Complete ware-washing/sanitizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, and pans.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen and service work areas, serving areas, equipment, and remove garbage, trash, and grease from department areas.
  • Prepare hot beverages and place on patient trays.
  • Deliver and collect trays for patients.
  • Assist patients with menu selections and input selections into CBORD via iPad.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or 3 years' experience required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend written assignments.
Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated, you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
