Delta-T Group Inc. is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Recovery Coach to join our team in the Montgomery Area, MD. This role involves providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with mental illness, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional experience working with children and families in a community-based program.

We are looking for someone who can provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and crisis planning. The successful candidate will also be responsible for documenting interactions using established procedures and participating in required trainings.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in performing danger assessments, crisis assessments, environmental assessments, and lethality assessments.
  • Provide effective crisis intervention, including de-escalation and crisis planning.
  • Design appropriate referral recommendations using available community resources.
  • Address a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, dual-diagnosis, co-occurring, and elderly individuals.
  • Work with families and involved persons to de-escalate situations and make crisis plans.
  • Document interactions using CRS procedures.
Requirements
  • Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) or willingness to obtain certification within a one-year period.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of professional experience working with children and families in a community-based program.
  • Three years in full recovery and five years lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance.
