$7,500 Sign On Bonus and Relocation Assistance Available

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center offers an attractive compensation package with a salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 per year.

This includes a comprehensive benefits plan with medical coverage, dental and vision benefits, life insurance, disability coverage, and more.

Job Summary

The Medical Technologist collects and prepares specimens and performs laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

They verify, record, and report lab results in an accurate and timely manner on all performed tests.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of physiology and function of the normal human body, as well as changes in the body due to disease.


  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
  • Perform only those tests authorized by the Laboratory Director based upon having the degree of skill commensurate with the individual's education, training, or experience.
  • Evaluate test results according to predefined criteria and report/enter/verify test results in the Laboratory Information System.
  • Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and take corrective action.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a chemical/physical/biological or other life science and relevant generalist clinical laboratory experience within the last five years.

National Registration as an MLS(ASCP)cm, MT(ASCP), or equivalent, or registry-eligible at date of hire.

Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all staff, patients, patient families, and vendors.
