Speech Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Parsons Hill Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Worcester, MA. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload.
Responsibilities- Screen patients/residents and evaluate their needs to develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide direct resident treatments in accordance with established plans of care, under the supervision of a physician.
- Contribute to the team meeting and decision-making process, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Consult with and train patients/residents and caregivers to promote optimal care and outcomes.
- Monitor efficiencies and document activities in a timely manner, adhering to the company's clinical documentation system.
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and supervisor.
- Participate in clinical program development and implementation, as well as the training and orientation of other staff.
- Comply with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures, protecting residents' individual health information.
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy.
- Current licensure by the applicable state agency.
- Two (2) years of clinical experience in long-term care, preferred.
- CEU's per state licensure requirements.
- Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems, interact with all levels of staff and customers, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational and analytical skills, and manual dexterity.
- Excellent hearing and verbal skills, required for directing staff, customer relations, and marketing activities.
