Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Innovative Education Leader to join our team at Lafayette Ren. Academy. As an elementary technology teacher, you will be responsible for creating a flexible program and classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth.

**About the Role:**
The successful candidate will have a strong background in education and technology, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities. Additionally, they will be responsible for establishing effective relationships with students, staff members, and parents.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Instruction/Education Responsibilities:
  • Presents subject matter to students to maximize learning opportunity and provides real-world, application-based examples and learning opportunities.
  • Makes purposeful and appropriate lesson plans which provide for effective teaching strategies and maximizes time on task.
  • Strives to maximize the educational achievement of each student.
  • Utilizes a variety/range of student learning modalities in each lesson and uses differentiated instruction within those lessons.
  • Assesses student strengths and weaknesses on a frequent basis, provides appropriate activities to address student needs and generates progress reports as required.

  • Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning:
  • Copies and distributes materials in advance as needed, so that students can access them when class begins.
  • Sets up equipment such as projectors, whiteboards, etc. to ensure a smooth start to classes.
  • Takes attendance, tracks student progress, maintains accurate and complete student records, and adheres to privacy laws.

  • Instructional Planning:
  • Develops lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and goals.
  • Plans individual and / group learning activities designed to meet instructional objective and students' needs.
  • Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect supplies, equipment, materials and facilities needed to implement effectively the planned instructional program.

$64,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience, education level, and location. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent, possession of valid teaching certification (as appropriate), and minimum of one (1) to three (3) years successful teaching experience (may include Student Teaching Internship experience).
