Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Manager to lead our construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management or project management, with a minimum of 7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Manage and lead project teams, including shop drawings, submittals, and engineering calculations review and approval.
  • Develop and review project schedules, cost estimation, bill of materials, budgets, scope of work, standards, and quotes from suppliers.
  • Supervise and tightly control project implementation, ensuring the highest levels of safety at all times.
  • Manage all parties involved (internal and external) and ensure professional project management from system design through construction and close-out phases.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, mechanical, environmental).
  • 7+ years of related work experience in construction management or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • OSHA 10 certification, with preference for OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience in preparing estimates and value engineering.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering and construction documents and processes.
  • Expertise in engineering and construction methodology and the associated financial aspects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification (or ability to become certified within 18 months of starting position).
  • Experience in permitting processes with local authorities.
  • Independently overseen multi-million dollar projects.
  • Extensive work experience in management and completion of large-scale projects.
  • Experience managing successful projects in the State and Federal Government sectors.
