Clinical Rehabilitation Assistant

At Excelin Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team.
Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Summary:
The Clinical Rehabilitation Assistant will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients. The role involves providing direct patient care, treating patients to relieve pain and develop or restore function, and instructing patients in the use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct physical therapy according to directions of the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care.
- Treats patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
- Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.
- Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
- Observes and reports to the Physical Therapist and Organization personnel the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in patient's condition.
- Maintains necessary records; clinical notes and conference notes.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
- Current certification or license as required by state law.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
