We are Nava Healthcare Recruiting, a leading provider of healthcare services in the Rockledge area. We seek an experienced Communications Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work with patients of all ages, from children to elderly adults, providing personalized therapy plans to help them achieve optimal communication and swallowing function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Provide therapy services in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques to improve functional outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment sessions.
  • Stay updated on advancements in the field of communications and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications:

To be successful as a Communications Specialist, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain CCC-SLP.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Florida.
  • Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care and advocacy for patients.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000-$90,000, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and ongoing education opportunities.
