Job Summary

Miami Jewish Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Attendant to join our team at our Florida PACE Centers. As a key member of our care team, you will provide essential support to our participants, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist participants with daily living activities, such as toileting, feeding, and bathing, as needed.
  • Document treatments, procedures, and observations in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Take participants' monthly weight and report results to the PACE dietician.
  • Ensure participants' rights are respected and maintained.
  • Participate in departmental activities, meetings, and in-services, and follow established guidelines.
  • Complete monthly training in a timely manner.
  • Assist with monthly outings as assigned.
  • Participate in a structured rotation program to gain cross-training in all PCA duties.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
  • 3 months of clinical experience as a CNA preferred.
  • Minimum one-year experience working with a frail/elderly population.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License and Proof of Insurance preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification.
Abilities and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English and Spanish, with knowledge of Creole a plus.
  • Ability to think and act calmly in unusual situations.
  • Demonstrates a caring attitude toward participants, family members, employees, and other facility guests.
