Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing large-scale software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions using various programming languages and technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects
  • Develop and maintain software documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user manuals
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Work with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of software systems
  • Develop and implement software testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to software development processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on large-scale software systems
  • Proven experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and testing principles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Current U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills
  • Experience with embedded real-time software development
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering and simulation
  • Experience with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Experience with object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) methodologies
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Experience with DevSecOps and complex software build plans
  • Experience with open architecture constructs, including SOSA, CMOSS, OMS, and OCS
  • Experience with developing and documenting software architecture using Cameo or similar tools
  • Experience with configuration management and collaboration tools, such as Git, JIRA, and VersionOne
