Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Civil Infrastructure Manager to oversee and manage large-scale civil construction projects in the South Alabama area. This role requires a strong background in heavy civil construction, including roadways, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Supervise and manage daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor field staff, including laborers, equipment operators, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure high levels of morale, productivity, and communication.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Manage resources effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that work is performed in compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections and manage quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project costs, track budgets, and manage resources efficiently. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and proactively address any issues that may impact the project's financial performance.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide updates on project progress, challenges, and potential risks.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction, specifically in roadways, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED; a degree or certifications in construction management, civil engineering, or related field is a plus.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • A strong understanding of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and quality control practices.
    • Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required; additional certifications in first aid/CPR or heavy equipment operation are a plus.Compensation & Benefits
