We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Medical Professional to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare organization.

Salary:
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:
Patient Safety:
- Provide safe and effective patient care by using best practices during hand off communication and when reporting patient care information and appropriately asking for assistance from other staff.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in location, operation, and care of equipment.
Clinical Assessments:
- Perform and document systematic assessments according to established criteria.
- Recognize and respond to abnormal diagnostic data and report to appropriate provider.
Caring & Code of Conduct:
- Develop and maintain a professional and personable relationship and appearance with patients/families and staff.
- Treat patients with courtesy and respect.
Critical Thinking:
Utilize theoretical knowledge base to operationalize care.
Documentation:
- Documentation is accurate and complete reflecting adherence to hospital, regulatory and legal requirements.
Population Specific Competency:
- Complete population-specific mandatory education competencies as defined by the unit specific scope of service.
- Provide culturally competent care to patients and families.
- Provide patient-centered care.
Evidenced Based Practice & Research:
- Practice is consistent with Northern Light Health policy and procedures.
- Demonstrate awareness of evidence-based practice.
Leadership and Professional Conduct:
- Utilize appropriate time management and meets expectations for punctuality and attendance.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to support staffing needs of patient care areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and all members of interdisciplinary team, seeking assistance for conflict resolution as needed.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Implement plan of care and identify resources to meet patient care needs.
- Identify and communicate changes in patient conditions that may impact unit staffing levels or provision of safe patient care.
- Contribute to healthy work environment by exhibiting professional behaviors and seeking assistance in addressing interpersonal conflicts.
- Seek assistance from colleagues in daily care of patients on unit.
- Participate as member of interdisciplinary team to maximize patient care.
Resource Management:
- Utilize available resources in appropriate manner and seek assistance when needed.
Performance Improvement:
- Demonstrate and articulate awareness of performance improvement initiatives.
Professional Development:
- Take responsibility for meeting education and mandatory programs, by completing clinical evidence-based competencies (CBO) and member-specific competencies.
- Obtain 12 contact hours or 3-credit professional development course or as specified by individual member organization.
- Maintain up-to-date personal educational file to demonstrate compliance with educational requirements.
- Actively participate in peer review process.
Requirements:
- Required: Registered Nurse
- Education: High School Diploma/General Educational Development (GED)
- Additonal education and experience may be required according to work location.
Working Conditions:
- Lifting, moving and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
- Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
