About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in College Station, Texas.


This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week, with a shift schedule of Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7:00am to 7:00pm, plus a call schedule.


The successful candidate will perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients, under the general supervision of a Radiologist, for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MRI procedures, according to exam protocol, in a timely manner.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct exams are performed on the correct patient, and establish rapport with patients and others.
  • Prepare patients and areas for procedures by positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified positions, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards, working with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment.
  • Ensure people are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation, such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, and shielding precautions taken, consent forms, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain medical imaging records in appropriate systems and according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner.
