Respiratory Therapist Job in New Brunswick, New Jersey

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in New Brunswick, New Jersey. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to provide top-notch care to patients with respiratory disorders.

About the Job

This exciting opportunity offers a salary package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Job Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary conditions, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams. Assess lung function, breathing patterns, oxygen levels, and other vital signs through non-invasive and invasive diagnostic procedures.
  • Developing and Implementing Treatment Plans: Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with respiratory issues. Adjust and monitor ventilation settings for patients requiring mechanical ventilation or non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (e.g., CPAP, BiPAP).
  • Administering Respiratory Treatments: Provide oxygen therapy via nasal cannulas, masks, or mechanical ventilators for patients with respiratory distress or low oxygen levels. Perform aerosol therapy to deliver medication directly to the lungs via inhalers, nebulizers, or other devices.
  • Monitoring and Evaluating Patient Progress: Continuously monitor the effectiveness of respiratory treatments and adjust therapy as necessary based on patient responses. Assess patients for signs of respiratory distress and intervene promptly when complications arise.
Requirements and Qualifications

  • A valid license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
Benefits and Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary package, which includes a base salary and a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. The estimated annual salary for this position is $ $144,000, based on 36 hours per week and 52 weeks per year.
