Wood plc is seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Operations Readiness and Commissioning service line, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the Energy and Petrochemicals sector in the USA, particularly in Houston. Your primary responsibility will be to identify growth opportunities, clients, and future projects for the team. You will establish and cultivate a client base aligned with Wood plc's strategy, processes, and guidelines. Additionally, you will engage with clients, collaborate with the Growth & Development function, and drive the success of our Operations Readiness and CSU service line.

Responsibilities

Engage with existing clients to cultivate new business opportunities and foster growth
Identify potential opportunities in ongoing and upcoming client projects
Lead specific client contracts, serving as the primary contact for Operations Readiness and CSU scopes
Provide technical expertise for bids and bid reviews, collaborating with subject matter experts
Support business development efforts to secure new projects

Strategic Accountabilities

Contribute to shaping Wood plc's Operations Readiness and CSU team strategy and procedures
Cultivate relationships with Wood plc colleagues globally, sharing insights and exploring new avenues
Attend client governance boards to offer valuable input on key topics
Ensure delivery excellence by meeting or surpassing KPIs and project deadlines

Business Growth

Deliver growth through close collaboration with Growth & Development
Develop and own business plan, drive and directly support client engagements, sales, bid and tender activity
Build and leverage strong client and Wood plc relationships to identify prospects and secure opportunities
Ensure that the organization develops responsive, dependable, and cost-effective services, servicing target markets, collaborating across business units and business groupings, and actively leveraging Wood plc solutions to address customer needs

Qualifications

Minimum Experience: Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
Experience in a Process Operations environment in Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industries
Experience of Operations Readiness and CSU deliverables and execution (Systems Completions, Completions, Pre-Commissioning, Maintenance, Operations, Training & Competency)
Experience in a client-facing position
Achievement in a lead role including standard scoping, writing, and implementation
