Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to join our team at Resilient Healthcare & Home Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions to develop, recover, or maintain their daily living and work skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' needs and develop personalized occupational therapy treatment plans to support their engagement in occupations that impact their health, well-being, and quality of life.
  • Select and adapt the most effective occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct interventions and maximize client outcomes.
  • Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Conduct home and environmental assessments to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for adaptations that meet clients' needs and capabilities.
  • Recommend and train clients on the use of adaptive equipment to enhance their daily living and work skills.
  • Collaborate with family members and caregivers to provide education and support, promoting a holistic approach to client care.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist, with a strong foundation in principles and practices of occupational therapy.
  • Excellent knowledge of ADLs evaluation tools, such as the Katz ADL scale and Lawton IADL scale.
  • Ability to work with diverse client populations, managing patients with varying personalities and needs.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a valid license to practice occupational therapy and a BS degree or greater in occupational therapy.
