Banyan Treatment Centers, a leading addiction treatment organization, is seeking dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians to join our team in Colorado. This role requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

This position plays a vital part in the daily operations of our facility, collaborating with the treatment team to ensure exceptional patient care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient activities, assisting with patient schedules, conducting 1:1 interactions, and maintaining accurate records of patient behaviors and whereabouts.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Per-diem, as needed
  • Location: Castle Rock, CO (On-site)
  • Compensation: $17-$20 hourly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care and support to patients
  • Monitor and document patient behaviors to ensure safety and compliance
  • Conduct headcounts, as instructed by management, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Promote and support patient safety consistently
  • Demonstrate the ability to deescalate situations
  • Provide emotional support to patients, referring to clinical staff when necessary
  • Communicate with nursing and medical staff if medical assistance is required
  • Assist with patient transportation, as needed
  • Conduct urine drug screenings and supervise medication self-administration

Requirements:

  • A safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years
  • Must be at least 21 years old, in compliance with motor vehicle insurance requirements

Abilities and Skills:

  • Adherence to healthcare code of ethics and familiarity with Joint Commission standards
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding patient confidentiality
  • Ability to assess potential risks and report critical changes to clinical staff
  • Accurately maintain detailed records of patient interactions, progress, and incidents
  • Strong attention to detail in monitoring and documenting client behaviors to support patient safety
  • Maintain clear professional boundaries with patients while fostering a supportive environment
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and assist in physical tasks such as client transportation or room checks
  • Basic understanding of addiction, recovery, co-occurring mental health disorders, and common treatment methodologies
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, and ability to adapt to evolving patient needs
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their families, ensuring they feel valued and supported
