About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Renewal Health Group. As a key member of our team, you will provide treatment and case management to clients and their families, promoting the mission of Phoenix Rising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to discuss effective coping skills and assist clients in identifying the reasons for their addiction and overcoming the problems related to the addiction.
  • Conduct client psychosocial assessments, develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, and carry out client intake processes.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, which includes clinical staff, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Identify patients' negative behaviors and develop strategies to overcome urges.
  • Document resident progress, provide service referrals, and maintain professional relationships with staff, clients, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology from an accredited program.
  • Registration with the State of California Board of Behavioral Health as a registered associate (AMFT, APCC, or ACSW).
  • Experience working with mental health in a treatment center preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a professional manner with staff, clients, and visitors.
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting under pressure, maintain open communication, and demonstrate professionalism.
