Job Description

The Advanced Perinatal Care Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to patients and their families during the perinatal period.

This position involves working collaboratively with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Deliver comprehensive nursing care appropriate to the age and needs of patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilize the nursing process to assess patient conditions, formulate individualized care plans, and implement interventions.
  • Educational Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn care.
  • Patient Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate patient progress, responding effectively to changes in condition and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care and positive outcomes for patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Labor & Delivery RN.
Professional Development:

Maintain accountability for the safety and quality of nursing care delivered or supervised. Participate in professional development activities and maintain current knowledge of best practices in labor and delivery nursing.

Compensation:

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
