Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Outside Sales Representative to join our team at We Guide, You Grow LLC. This is a remote position with some travel required, covering the Houston, Texas area.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of domestic truck sales, specifically in the truck brokerage area, and be able to generate new business to grow the truck brokerage operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact new shippers by cold calling and utilize existing industry contacts to establish relationships.
  • Set up meetings with shippers to sell truckload and brokerage services, highlighting the company's expertise in steel, pipe, building materials, machinery, oil & gas, and retail industries.
  • Determine the best coverage opportunities based on shippers' needs and areas of interest.
  • Create presentations for shippers outlining the best coverage options.
  • Negotiate rates on new business lanes, including opportunities for annual rate increases based on service levels.
  • Develop contracts and shipping procedures for new business.
  • Collaborate with the operational team for the first 90 days to ensure sold coverage is properly managed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shippers on escalated items.
  • Maintain regular communication with shippers every 90 days to build relationships and increase business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the transportation industry.
  • A strong understanding of the trucking industry, including knowledge of flatbed, truckload, rail, ocean, and air transportation services.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient computer skills, including high-level working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.
Benefits
