Overview of the Occupational Therapist Role at Vierra Management

At Vierra Management, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our in-house team at Carriage Hill Bethesda. This is a part-time, PRN (as needed) role that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and patients.

As an Occupational Therapist with Vierra Management, you will have the chance to work collaboratively with our dedicated team to provide high-quality care and support to individuals who require rehabilitation and therapy services. About the Job

This role involves working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. You will conduct thorough assessments, create personalized goals, and deliver evidence-based interventions to promote optimal health and well-being.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting screenings and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop targeted treatment plans;
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication;
  • Providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions to address various physical, cognitive, and emotional needs;
  • Documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and communicating with healthcare teams;
  • Maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory requirements;
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of new programs and services;
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) matching, referral bonuses, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Variability pay will also be given for weekend and holiday shifts worked. With this position you'll have the potential for increased earnings over time due to overtime hours being available and paid differently than other positions at our company.

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $80,000 based on a 20-hour workweek schedule, which would translate to approximately $40/hour. However, actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and specific working conditions.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess a strong background in occupational therapy, including:

  • A valid license to practice occupational therapy within the state;
  • A Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy or related field;
  • National Certification Examination for Registered Occupational Therapists (NBCOT-R);
  • Experience working with long-term care and/or geriatric populations is preferred but not required;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work cooperatively with healthcare professionals and adapt to changing situations;
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to facility policies and procedures.
