Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fire Suppression Systems Technician to join our team. This role will involve conducting basic and applied testing in support of our activities, as directed. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct tests and inspections of fire suppression systems to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data from testing and inspections to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Safety Protocols: Identify and report safety hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: NICET Certification in Special Hazards Suppression Systems preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and understand written instructions, e.g. safety notices and rules, test procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, etc.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Demonstrated understanding of and ability to apply all basic math functions, e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS: Demonstrated ability to work within Microsoft Office applications.
