Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Program Activities Specialist to join our team at HRA. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

About the Role:

  • Assist the DLE with planning and coordinating community activities, ensuring a safe and meaningful experience for all residents.
  • Help maintain the Activity Participation Tracking Chart and support the success of the community's Parallel Programming schedule.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement engaging activities that promote resident participation and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and coordinate daily activity programs, including ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  2. Support residents in attending activities, while promoting their independence and dignity.
  3. Lead by example, demonstrating servant leadership and embodying the CORE Values.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, family members, and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident rights to privacy.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail when tracking resident participation and managing supplies.

Working Conditions:

The Program Activities Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The ability to work safely and alertly is essential, as is taking ownership of associate and resident safety.
