Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a skilled Structural Mechanic IV to join our team. As a critical member of our assembly operation, you will be responsible for performing structural assembly operations using required tools and prints, specs, and operational requirements.

About the Role:

  • You will use your expertise as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of employees and techniques, completing work in innovative and effective ways.">
  • You will perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, as well as varied drilling and riveting operations, ensuring that all parts/assembly meet requirements.">
  • You will use complicated schematics/blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions to safely perform layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment, or fabricated items on aircraft.">
  • You will coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs, and quality specifications.">
  • You will move to new tasks with minimal impact to established goal hours and schedule.">
  • You will mentor, train, and assist other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders.">
  • You will maintain and use all logs and records.">
  • You will align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.">
  • You will make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Request (MRR), Production Change Orders (PCO), and performs necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity.">
  • You will plan and organize workloads and resource requirements to meet or exceed goal hours and schedule expectations.">
  • You will support Lean Activities, comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.">

What You Need to Succeed:

  • ">
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.">
  • Six years of related structural assembly experience are preferred.">
  • Experience working with Solumnia and Smarteam is preferred.">
  • A Q-stamp is preferred.">
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.">
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.">
  • Skilled in close tolerance work and knowledge of special tools and equipment.">
  • Ability to use mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems.">
  • Thorough knowledge of multiple measuring devices and ability to use within specified tolerance.">
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.">
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stands, stairs, and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas.">
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.">

Additional Information:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

">

This is a full-time position with up to 25% travel required.

">
