We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a part-time, day shift role. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding environment where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

About the Role:

  • As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • You will delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring their performance under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
  • Your responsibilities will include observing patients for symptoms or reactions, including general physical and mental condition, and reporting any adverse changes to the attending physician.
  • You will also assist with notifying the attending physician of emergencies and deaths, implementing changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
  • In addition, you will perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • You must be a licensed practical nurse with a degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • A current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing is necessary, and you must provide proof of license renewal every two years.
  • Willingness to work as a charge nurse and during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage is essential.
  • You should have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing and be able to provide quality care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and demonstrate a caring attitude.
  • CPR certification is required annually.
  • Attending in-service training and other staff meetings as required is a must.
