Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing

Our client, a nationally accredited non-profit leader in the prevention, treatment, and recovery of mental health and substance use disorders, seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join their team.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist in ensuring the nursing department provides consistent, attentive, and efficient care to patients. This role is responsible for working closely with the Director of Nursing in all aspects of planning, organizing, developing, and implementing the provision of health care services, as well as ensuring nursing activities are in compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ongoing supervision of nursing staff, ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and monitoring nurses to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Manage clinical operations, develop care plans, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local standards, as well as maintain adequate medical supplies and medications.
  • Prepare reports, statistics, and other data to document department activities and support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in program and corporate-wide quality and process improvement activities, and initiate these activities in areas of responsibility.
  • Provide and/or coordinate educational opportunities to maintain and support best nursing practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred, or equivalent experience and skill set.
  • Two years of experience in addiction nursing, with two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity within the nursing profession preferred.
  • Ability to supervise, coach, and train nurses, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License and Current CPR certification required.
