Job Summary:

As a District Account Representative, you will be responsible for driving growth and retention of assigned accounts in the supply store segment. Your primary focus will be to meet and exceed quarterly and annual growth targets while delivering exceptional customer service. You will collaborate with various departments to develop strategic plans and proactively seek opportunities to increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Model and promote HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
  2. Provide legendary customer service to corporate target customers and larger potential customer base.
  3. Collaborate with leadership to identify enterprise opportunities for revenue gain within customer base and execute targets.
  4. Meet and exceed targeted annual growth and portfolio health target goals for assigned customer accounts.
  5. Serve as the company expert on each assigned account and facilitate all efforts to provide a positive customer experience.
  6. Obtain information/data from customers to support growth of sales potential.
  7. Perform monthly health checks with customers to maintain robust partnerships.
  8. Collaborate with leadership/supervisor to perform quarterly business review of portfolio with customers.
  9. Create value with safety initiatives in alignment with customers and Texas First Rental.
  10. Develop and execute business plans using SMART goals with each assigned target.
  11. Manage assigned accounts, including rate structure, accounting lifecycle, customer damage and/or billing disputes, and continued communication of rental needs internally.
  12. Meet with customers to review annual rate and commitment.
  13. Prepare and present approved contracts/lease agreements to assigned accounts and effectively communicate agreements within Texas First Rentals management and sales teams.
  14. Prepare sales plans, expense, daily call, and sales reports.
  15. Maintain records of sales or other business transactions.
  16. Prepare sales or other contracts.
  17. Work safely always and adhere to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge of construction equipment and the rental industry.
  • Expert knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).
  • Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with ability to build long-term business relationships.
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Understands implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Driven and results-oriented; business development, KPIs, and market expansion to meet corporate targets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization.
  • First-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline-oriented.
  • Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents, and communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization and customer operations.
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum of four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required; three to five years of experience preferred.
Travel:
  • Extensive driving required; overnight travel required.
  • Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
  • This role frequently communicates with others, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Work Environment:
  • This job is generally performed in a retail and office environment; exposure to computer screens; exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
  • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
