Commercial and Residential Management Group is seeking an experienced Affordable Assistant Manager to join their team. Located in NW Portland's Alphabet District, this 146-unit apartment community offers a range of amenities including a community lounge, bike storage, courtyard, and resident services.

Job Summary:

The Affordable Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of the property, including marketing, maintaining property integrity, screening prospective residents, collecting rents, income certifications, serving notices, developing reports, and preparing agreements.

About the Role:

As an Affordable Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the property. You will work closely with the management team to achieve business objectives, provide exceptional customer service to residents, and maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with marketing efforts to attract new residents
  • Maintain accurate records of rent payments, income certifications, and other financial transactions
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve property performance and resident satisfaction
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve business objectives and drive growth

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Six months of previous property management experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Basic math skills with the ability to perform bookkeeping tasks
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage time efficiently
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to understand and meet resident needs
  • Effectively deal with emergency situations
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
