Adjunct Professor of Fine Arts Opportunity

Winthrop University, a highly regarded public comprehensive university, is seeking an Adjunct Professor of Fine Arts to join its esteemed Department of Fine Arts within the College of Visual and Performing Arts. This is a semester-by-semester assignment, commencing academic year 20-21.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in various content areas, including Foundations, Jewelry/Metals, Sculpture, Photography, Painting, Ceramics, Printmaking, Video, 2d/3d Digital Studio, Art History, and Interdisciplinary Studio Art.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to meet the needs of diverse students.
  • Collaborate with department faculty to ensure curriculum alignment and program excellence.
Qualifications

Applicants must hold a master's degree or higher in the teaching discipline. A doctorate or terminal degree is required for graduate course instruction. Significant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a terminal degree, provided the candidate possesses at least 18 hours of graduate credits in the discipline.
