Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coding Professional to join our team. As a Medical Coding Professional, you will be responsible for analyzing and coding complex cases by reviewing documentation, assigning appropriate codes based on location and admission.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Analyze and code complex cases by reviewing documentation and assigning appropriate codes based on location and admission
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of coding to compliance and regulatory standards
  • Meet minimum benchmarked productivity standards
  • Compose provider query notifications using appropriate language and documentation references
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A year of inpatient coding experience and a Coding Certificate (Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), RHIT, RHIA or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
  • Bachelor's degree in HIM and a Coding Certificate (CCS, RHIA, or CIC)
  • Associate's degree in HIM and a Coding Certificate

You will also require excellent verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as experience reviewing provider documentation and assigning appropriate ICD10-CM, PCS, and CPT codes.
