Medical Isotope Production Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Medical Isotope Production Specialist.
This role plays a critical part in the production of various medical radioisotopes using extraction methods developed at Niowave.
The products will be shipped around the world for use in cancer therapies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing production of medical radioisotope products, including raw material preparation, handling production targets, and cleaning equipment/instrument setup.
- Operating radiation detectors and participating in quality training and event retrospectives.
- Implementing production methods to resolve problems and accomplish specific objectives.
- Operating at a consistent and exemplary level of efficiency, producing high-quality and accurate results.
- Participating in periodic reviews of component labor routing, material requirements, and manufacturing procedures.
- Contributing to inventory management, including cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrating accountability of self in following radiation and general safety procedures and promoting a culture of safety by helping others to do the same.
- Cold material preparation, including preparing c. radium targets, detectors, and fixtures, and processing equipment.
- Commissioning new equipment with radioactive and non-radioactive material.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 2-6 years of industry experience in nuclear engineering, applied physics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working in a chemical laboratory, radiological facility, cGMP production facility, or a related field.
- Organizational and project management skills for self and teams.
- Regularly engaging in mentoring multiple team members in all aspects of production roles and providing mentoring and recommendation for those pursuing the technical mentor track.
Lead production shift operations with a small team.
