Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified individuals located in San Diego, CA. As a member of our Advanced Manufacturing Technology & Innovation development team, you will define, develop, implement, and transition new technology solutions to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve quality.

About the Role:

This role requires a background and skillset meeting at least one of the system environments within this requisition: Linux, Windows, or VMware. You will work under the supervision of senior systems engineers, admins, and architects to create, maintain, and update system documentation. Additionally, you will install, configure, back up, retrieve, maintain, and migrate system programs and data.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, maintaining, and updating system documentation
  • Install, configure, back up, retrieve, maintain, and migrate system programs and data
  • Work under the supervision of senior systems engineers, admins, and architects
  • Monitor systems, validate the integrity and accessibility of all server resources, hardware, systems, and key processes
  • Carry out hardware upgrades, performance tuning, and resource optimization whenever required
  • Provides technical recommendations and input in subject matter area to team members and technical leadership
  • Reporting status to Program Managers and IPT Management

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor of Science degree with 5 years of experience OR Master of Science degree with 3 years of experience. You should also have working knowledge of at least one system engineering environment (Linux, Windows, or VMware). Additionally, you should understand TCP/IP, LDAP, NTP, DNS, and DHCP, among others. You must be able to obtain IAT Level II certification such as Security+ within 90 days and have U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance. Ability to travel up to 25% is also required.

Salary Range:

$133,000 - $199,600

Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
