About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation and Shelter Coordinator to join our team in Mobile, Alabama.

Job Summary: The Transportation and Shelter Coordinator will be responsible for transporting passengers to and from activities, monitoring the service desk and cameras, assisting with daily check-in at the emergency shelter, accepting and picking up donations, and providing information about the shelter to walk-ins and callers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a Salvation Army van to transport passengers safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor the service desk and cameras to ensure the security and safety of the facility.
  • Assist with daily check-in procedures at the emergency shelter.
  • Accept and pick up donations on behalf of The Salvation Army.
  • Provide information about the shelter to walk-ins and callers, answering questions and addressing concerns as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience operating an automotive vehicle preferred.
  • Valid State Driver's License required.
