Job Summary

The Patient Services Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position serves as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff, facilitating seamless communication and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care plans, participating in daily huddles and monthly case discussions.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, services, and diagnostic testing, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Monitor and update patient dashboards with reminders and alerts, prioritizing daily tasks such as visit status reminders and follow-up appointments.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers for pre-certification and consult with department managers to address patient needs or escalated issues.
  • Provide front-end coverage as needed, recording telephone encounters for routing to appropriate providers.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and clinical staff, connecting patients with relevant internal and external resources.
  • Contribute to process improvements and service enhancements to promote patient satisfaction and address issues.
Requirements
  • Some college education; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in healthcare or customer service.
