Key Responsibilities

Designing, developing, and testing packaging solutions
Experience in building packaging processes and systems
Ability to create and implement packaging inspection processes
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging meets product requirements and consumer needs
Assist Technical Operations teams on Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for new packaging equipment
Collaborate with Technical Operations for analysis and process improvements
Provide technical input, support, and assistance to Packaging Process Engineers
Create and update proposed costing based on packaging requirements
Provide Sales and Project Development with appropriate packaging configurations for new packaging development and packaging configurations based on existing equipment capabilities
Work with Technical Operations to determine if new tooling or change parts are needed
Ensure packaging follows regulatory requirements and industry standards
Determine and establish packaging specifications based on product nature, cost limitations, regulatory requirements, and protection needs
Interact professionally with employees, customers, and suppliers
Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
Participate in project meetings

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive knowledge of packaging processes in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., packaging technology, packaging engineering, material science, or related discipline)
Ability to work collaboratively with team members
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a safe manner
Proper use of scales, calipers, calculator, and other physical testing equipment
Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
Understanding and familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), SAP (ERP System), Work Instruction (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), AutoCAD or TOPS software, and Batch Records

Work Environment

The office is clean, orderly, properly lit, and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate. Field conditions vary. The employee may be exposed to various raw materials, including allergens. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds and be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts. The employee must be able to stand for approximately 8 hours and work independently, in a team environment, and drive projects to solution.

Benefits

The Salary Range for this position at Lief Labs is $81,000.00-95,000.00 (USD). Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including market demands, experience, training, skills, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, wellness benefits, education reimbursement program, and PTO. This position is bonus eligible.
