Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Records Specialist to join our team in London, Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of medical work experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This is a long-term contract for the State of Ohio, working a 1st shift with no weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality while tracking and managing patient medical/mental health files.
  • Verify patient classification, file notes, and pending appointments in a timely manner.
  • Receive and accurately file all pertinent patient medical documentation.
  • Monitor medical operating systems and mental health screens/treatment planners.
  • Collect, enter, and report monthly medical/mental health data as assigned.
  • Notify relevant parties of patient release information and work with staff to ensure smooth communication.
  • Perform onsite and offsite patient appointment scheduling duties using MOSS.
  • Log and maintain accurate records of offender appointments.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with medical tools and equipment (not required but preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

In the London, Ohio area, the estimated salary range for this position is between $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
