Medical Assistant with Excellent Patient Care Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at ECHN. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to work in a fast-paced medical office setting. You will be responsible for greeting patients, preparing them for physician examinations, and maintaining accurate records. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively interact with patients, employees, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet patients and prepare them for physician examination per established office protocol
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Assist physicians with office surgical procedures
* Perform EKG and Spirometry as ordered
* Report lab results to patients and follow through with any physician instructions
* Answer requests from pharmacies for prescription refills
* Prepare specimens and paperwork for testing as directed by physicians
* Check and restock rooms with necessary supplies and ensure exam rooms are prepared for the day
* Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification/registration as an MA preferred
* 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Nurse Assistant may be considered in lieu of formal education
* Previous experience working in a medical facility preferred
* Ability to work in a fast-paced confidential medical environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong computer and keyboarding skills
