Emergency Room Nurse Position at LewisGale Medical Center

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Room department at LewisGale Medical Center. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and making a real difference in people's lives.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, triaging and assessing patients of all ages, and managing multiple cases simultaneously. You will also be required to act as a composed and professional member of the healthcare team, especially under pressure.

You will collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate effective follow-up plans of care and necessary referrals. Additionally, you will document effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
  • BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
  • Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
